Spektr-RG is a Russian orbiting astrophysical observatory designed to build the most complete X-ray map of the Universe. On July 13, 2019, the observatory was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome using the Proton-M launch vehicle and, after reaching the vicinity of the Lagrange point L2 of the Sun-Earth system, was put into full operation.
